Jaime Maldonado, Hospice Chaplain and Bereavement Coordinator
Chaplain Jaime E. Maldonado served eight years in the U.S. Army and is a Vietnam Combat Veteran. After the military he attended Bible school at Christ for the Nations where he met and Married his wife, Lorilee. Upon graduation Jaime and Lorilee went to Okinawa, Japan as missionaries. In 1982 Jaime completed his Bachelor’s at Trinity Bible College in Ellendale, ND. He then went on to the North American Baptist Seminary in Sioux Falls, SD for his Master’s in Divinity. While working on his Masters’ he participated in a Seminary Consortium for Urban Pastoral Education in the inner cities of Chicago, IL. After seminary Jaime and his family established a church for Cubans in West New York, NJ. From there he took a pastoral position in a Spanish home missions church in Monte Vista, CO. Jaime moved to Texas in 1993 working in MHMR and drug counseling until settling into the hospice chaplaincy. Of all the positions Jaime has served in, he states hospice is the most rewarding. Jaime is the proud father of a son, three daughters, and eight grandchildren.
